Happy Birthday To Efee!!

Well, it's Efee's birthday today and he's 9 years old. I can't believe it's been 9 years since he came into our lives. He was born on my Grandpa's 87th birthday, and 17 months after his big brother, Dio, also he was born 6 months exactly after September 11th 2001. He was a great baby, really happy and good natured and a great eater, he got so chubby and cute.

We had his party at our local swimming pool with six of his best friends. I was a little nervous about seven 8 and 9 year olds at the pool, plus my other 3 kids, but they were all really good and well behaved. This morning I let him open his presents before school because he was so excited. He got a couple games for his DS, like he needs another reason to play it, but oh well.

We had fun playing in the pool tonight and eating pizza and cupcakes. He has such a good group of friends, all really good kids. They're here at our house or Efee's at one of their houses several times a week, and it's fun to get to know them and their families. It's good to know your kids are surrounded by good kids with good parents and families. I've become friends with a lot of his friend's moms through the boys playing together. A nice perk to my kids having great friends!

The waves were on here, always exciting for the kids to body surf or ride it out in tubes.

We had such a good time and Efee told me it was a good birthday, the "best birthday ever!". We are so glad he is in our family and we look forward to many more birthdays with him. We are blessed to have such a wonderful, sweet young man in our lives.
